Hair Styling

“Hair Styling” is a charity that has given musicians, artist, celebs etc a canvas with the outline of a hare. We have been asked us to create a work of art to sell off for charity.
Being awkward as usual (in a creative sense, not just for the sake of being a bitch!) i turned the canvas over and the wrong way round and decided to use it as a frame almost. Thinking about hares and rabbits i got to thinking about peter rabbit. Its commonly known that Beatrix Potter dissected animals that feature as characters, to study their muscular and skeletal systems in order to accurately illustrate her story, including her pet rabbit named Peter. So for my canvas i got three wild rabbits tails (meat bi products) and put them onto the canvas and under each titled “Flopsy” “Mopsy” and “Cotton Tail” My canvas portrays the ‘darkness’ behind the story and brings ‘macabre’ back into something so classically innocent.
